Zachary Deutsch, Meeting one: brainstormed ideas

Candidate: Zachary Deutsch

Related Goal: Zack Deutsch: incorporating more physical first aid demonstrations and comfort care for patrons to better prepare lifeguards for real scenarios.

We were deciding between the different ideas that I came into this meeting with, discussed which ones would be more valuable for this mentorship/to teach at an Inservice. We also set up the software with my account, as well as Leila explaining to me how and what we would be using it for. We created the overall goal, and discussed the two tasks that I would be working on in the next couple weeks. The first task will be doing realistic heatstroke/exhaustion scenarios tailored to going through the steps in a more detail oriented way. The second task will be running a station at a first year training where we will go over how to be more comforting and less awkward around kids and patrons that we are providing first aid care to in the office.

Action items:

Leila is going to speak with Jeff tomorrow morning about my ideas. If approved, Leila and I will have our second meeting next week where we go over more intense outline for the in services that I can start working on.
