Details

Due to guests eating on deck and lack of clarification from lifeguards on where you can eat, my goal is to help cut down on the confusion. My plan to help this is to add signs outside of concessions and into the pool deck area to easily show that guests must eat in the concessions area. By adding visible signs to the pool deck, guests should know to take their food into concessions without lifeguards having to ask. The second problem is when staff is cleaning the floors in the locker rooms, it can create a slippery safety hazard. To help alert guests, I will be adding signs to help alert guests to be carful as we are hosing and scrubbing the floors. Along with this, as the floors are drying, signs will stay up. By using more signs across the pools, guests will experience a cleaner and safer pool.

What should we improve?

The candidate chose items in the aquatics program and department to improve. Goals are broad targets that we will work towards. Every meeting and task done will be in service of that goal. Goals should be large enough to encompass many tasks. Goals may not be attainable. Goals are our guiding direction; our North Star.
