– What should a debrief look like over the summer? In between lessons, or after the shift? What should the LC-instructor ratio be? Current details w Jeff

Goal wording: Improve LC communication with swim instructors to clarify each’s expectations

  • Before lessons, talking about instructor expectations to group and a rose and thorn kind of thing
  • Debrief after lessons
    • Have instructors and LCs break into groups of ~6:1
    • In these groups, give feedback to instructors and next group assignment- easier for LCs to manage employees
  • Instructor evals
  • If different insts for different groups, develop better way for them to communicate about certain skills/needs
  • Barriers to communication?
    • Time
    • Off task
    • Number of instructors to LCs
    • Community/environment
