Related Tasks:

Purchase products to reduce water waste caused by hose issues.

Question 1: What will I do to achieve this task?
– Product 1: These metal connectors will help remove the need for twisting and enable you to quickly snap hoses and or spray nozzles together. This product is designed to be lightweight and long lasting. This will result in a drip-free seal that is simple to connect and remove.

– Product 2: By using teflon tape, this product is a thin band of tape that is waterproof and elastic which is meant for creating a watertight seal on ends of pipes or hoses. To apply this product to hose, we will wrap this tape around the end of the hose spigots to cover up the leaky parts of the hose nozzles.

– Product 3: Having a splash guard that covers over the hose faucet/spigot to prevent leaking and spraying of water. This product will snap over the hose faucet which will shield the guards from getting sprayed on or drips when turning on or off the hose during cleaning shifts.

Brainstorming ideas!!

Idea 1: I would like to have some sort of hose fitting/ gaskets that will be able to take on and slip off on both ends of the hose. This would create a tight seal to prevent leaking or spraying at the base of the hose where it meets the spigot. This would keep the guards dry when turning on the hoses for cleaning. Below are a few product ideas. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1065223243/faucet-splash-guard

Idea 2: I would also like to have tome sort of teflon tape or waterproof tape that will help limit the leaking and spraying of the hoses. The purpose of this would be to wrap around the faucets threads before connecting the hose. Ideally this tape will be used once and wont have to get reapplied every time the hose is used. Here is a product that looks great! waterproof tape for hoses

Final meeting discussion: I will not continue with this process until Leila meets with Jeff to discuss these ideas. In the meantime, I plan on continuing to think of more ideas that would tie along to my overall goal (ideally something tangible!!) if Jeff doesn’t approve of these ideas.

Information about the Goal

Dax Greenberg arrived at their goal through a series of meetings and refinement. Learn how that process happened.

What should we improve?

The candidate chose items in the aquatics program and department to improve. Goals are broad targets that we will work towards. Every meeting and task done will be in service of that goal. Goals should be large enough to encompass many tasks. Goals may not be attainable. Goals are our guiding direction; our North Star.

Dax Greenberg's brainstormed ideas:

1) Increase written labeled instructions on how to properly clean the facility. Hung up somewhere in janitors closet with step by step instructions on how to fill mop buckets, refill soap dispensers, etc.
2) Using a shower squeegee for the bathroom mirrors in attempt to eliminate the paper towel streaks and smudges when cleaning
3) Reducing insect and mouse infestations during the offseason at pools.
