Task 3: Plan for additions to make DHS more guard friendly
Candidate: Jacob Suby
Related Goal: Jacob Suby: Improve lifeguard accessibility to resources that promote efficiency and safety
- Clock in- We are added the paycor kiosk website using an existing computer that is always running in the guard office and pinned the kiosk on Microsoft edge to save time for guards and Jeff by not having to submit and approve missed punches
- Labeled lockers- We are added a sign on locker 667 where the first aid kit is stored so that way guards don’t have to always look for the locker with the first aid and added a sign on locker 665 where the binder is stored
- First Aid log- We are going to put a binder with a first aid log in locker 665 since the existing binder only had PDRMA forms and no way to log smaller first aid incidents
- Bodily fluid Cleanup- During the school year when we have room in the budget, we will get another one of the blue boxes we have at Mitchell to store bleach and get a labeled bucket and put it under the desk in the guard office to allow for proper cleanup of bodily fluids
- Biohazard bin- during the school year when we have room in the budget, we will get a biohazard bin and place it under the desk in guard office to allow for proper disposal of bodily fluids
- Clear rotation and walking patterns- We took the existing guard rotation guide and posted it on the wall so guards easily know where the rotation is and what it is
- Extra supplies- During the school year, we will bring extra hip packs, seals, and whistles over from Deerspring and put them in locker 663 which we will label extra supplies in case guards forget their stuff
