Cleaning:

Cleaning (end of shifts):

Replace all garbage backs on the deck and in locker rooms every evening. Do not leave any trash in the trash bin overnight. Place trash bags in the cart to be taken to the dumpster. Must be dumped nightly or as needed when filled. 


Floors: 

The mens and women’s locker rooms and family bathrooms must be scrubbed with brushes and soapy water each night. Fill a bucket with water and soap solution. Use the provided brushes to scrub the floors vigorously with sudsy soap water. 

Use the hose with the spray nozzle to push suds, debris, and dirt into the drains. Must use concentric circles and fluid dynamics to push not just the soap, but the dirt, hair, grass, rocks, etc that are on the floor into the drains. 

Glove the drains of debris and throw into garbage. 

Chrome: 

All metal or exposed chrome in the locker room needs to be sprayed with the metal/chrome cleaner spray and manually wiped down with a rag or paper towel. Mirror frames, changing room frames, shower handles, shower heads, sink heads, sink dials, etc. All metal should be sprayed and wiped. 

Porcelain: 

All toilets, sinks, urinals should be sprayed with general purpose cleaner and manually wiped down with a rag or paper towel. Remove pee stains, remove poop stains, dirt, spit, etc from all porcelain. 

Toilets:

Toilets should be washed with the toilet bowl sponge or brush. 

Urinal cakes or pads should be replaced if old and stinky. 

Tampon dispensers replaced, tampon garbage replaced. 

Toilet paper should be replaced if needed. 

Surfaces: 

Benches, changing areas, and flat surfaces like sink counters should be sprayed with general purpose cleaner and wiped with rag or paper towel. 

Mirrors: 

Spray mirror with glass cleaner and wipe with towel or rag. 

Refill soap dispensers: 

Check under the counters and refill soap dispensers as needed. 

Deck cleaning: 

Every garbage bin must be replaced so that each bag is fresh overnight. If rain is expected turn the bin upside down so they don’t fill with water. 

Walk the deck and pick up and throw away all garbage; wrappers, food, paper, plastic, etc. Return lost and found items to bin in manager office.

Store all lifeguard tubes. Coil any used hoses. 

Organize lawn chairs and deck chairs neatly. 

Store any umbrellas.
